Risking putting my foot in it...

When I joined the forum prior to purchasing my first 944 I got loads fo help and info from the guys. One bloke who always had a view was Fen. I note his absence nowadays. Is he Ok?

Fen lives in New Zealand now (has done for some time). I believe his 944 is still in this country and he has no plans to export it. He is quite in to off roading, and stuff, in the biggest adventure playground in the world (so the locals will tell you) so I can appreciate that he has, perhaps, lost enthusiasm for answering the same questions that he has answered before.

It is up to those of us that have benefited from Fens knowledge and help to now take up the mantle and pass that knowledge on.

I believe Fen and Emma are well, we exchanged some comments on FaceBook a couple of hours ago and I talked him into joining my Mafia in Mafia Wars [:D] (it's a numbers game).

Another old time 944 owner I can across was babe magnet Will Presland. He is now a published author of Aston Martin books, and a married man....who would have thought.

So Will took the Aston Martin to another level and he got married wow It only seems a short while ago he left the 944 behind

where's the time gone I must agree who would have thought it [:D]

You are quite right John Both Fen and Will have given us so much input with there knowledge of the 944 .

Pass my regards to Fen when you next facebook him

Fen's still undergoing the 12-step plan, but he's gradually suffering less withdrawal symptons. [;)]

Will is a regular on Pistonheads. Although it's years since he last owned a 944, he regularly chips in with helpful advice.

Subtext: Fen is now into lash-up Japanese trucks and has 'moved on' from 944's.

(Which is a great shame. He is missed 'round these parts. I must email him again.)

I think Fen quickly realised that Jap off roaders aren't as good as the originals when the going gets really extreme. I believe he has a Jeep now.

Someone is a Coupling admirer LOL.

From the posts that I came across of Fen's on here he seems to be quite knowledgable.

Maybe there ought to be a Fen archive on here: The clearest technical explanations he gave/most pointed retorts/most convoluted threads [:D]

Fen is still the forums number 3 all time poster, with Diver and Sims following up in 4th and 5th, I have fallen down the rankings and will probably get overtaken by Oli soon - wouldn't happen on the road - not till he gets a turbo ;)
