RMA Trackdays - Feb/Mar 05

I was having a look at a few track day sites and RMA have a couple of interesting days in Q1 05.

Sun 6th Feb 2005 Donington Park 99 db (A) £95.00 £145.00 (non member)
Sat 5th Mar 2005 Bedford Autodrome 101 db (A) £125.00 £175.00 (non member)

Is any one going to either of these or would anyone be interested. I really like Donington and have never driven Bedford so would be interested in either of these days. Would be a nice way to start the year off, especially if the weather stays dry.

If enough of us are interested, may be worth seeing if they offer some sort of a discount on the track fees? Could be worth a try.

Let me know if you are interested would be great to see everyone.

Regards

Great idea Yoda!!

Bit early for me as Cup Car tucked up in garage awaiting some fettling at end of Feb.

You could try negotiation with Mr Clarke, but at £145 it's a bargain!!!

Hi Yoda
I am interested but does anyone have an RS with 99dB?
I could probably get 5 or 6 from Scotland to come but the dB is an issue as 2/3 will be GT3 and 2.7 RS replica
regards

also for another early season bargain....

Whereas the early in the year trackdays are cheaper , the disadvantage is getting the rubber up to gripping temp in cold typically wet weather. Have tried but I find myself going round too slow/cautious to really benefit . Especially Craners. Having said that the Bedford Mar 5 date may be a goer for me. I just creep in at 101 db with a bog standard factory exhaust , so Yoda you need to beware of 98db limit [:D]

I'll be there on 5th March.

Easytrack have got a couple of bank holidays at Bedford this year BTW.
but haven't been with them before, so not sure if it will be full of Max Power hot
hatches !!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but:

Donington noise limit -drive by;

Bedford Noise Limit -static.

So, 964 RS's shouldn't be a problem on either.....because, my Cup Car failed on the latter (107db), so they put a red sticker on, pointed out where the on-track mics were, and advised easing up or shortchanging at them -no probs, and what a sensible attitude!!

However, whilst you lot are seeking louder exhausts, I've fitted a 964C2 rear box (thirty quid!!), now 98-101db......difference in power? -indiscernible above 4200rpm :)

Hi.

Boydyrs/oldtimer - my RS is mechanically std (including exhaust) and I haven't had a problem anywhere yet. As Mel says, Donington limit is drive by not static so you should be fine unless your name is TEOS (hi Richard). Definitely not a problem for a std GT3, several there on previous 98 db days without a problem. Bedford day is 101db so should be fine.

Sundeep/Glenn - my insurance co does't like and won't cover easytrack days so that is off limits for me. Glenn, may see you on the 5th.

Regards
