RMS, broken liners blah blah....

Morning all...

I know its a bit late as I have ordered, speck to be confirmed today!!! [:eek:]and I'm excited already!!![:D]
However, does anyone know what Porsche have doen about the continued RMS issues and the broken liner issues that effected the Caymen engine type??? AKA Boxter and Carrera..... When they went to 3.4L did they do any re-design of these areas? After two years (thinking ahead here!) will I need to take out that extended warranty? Porsche are not known for radical changes, evolution they call it I always looked upon fixing those issues as being blo*dy slow!!
Would love some comfort... anyone up on the tech or read any promising articles or chatted with service managers etc.
