I had my RMS replaced when i first purchased my 996. 4.5 years on i seem to have a drip coming from this area i think, is it located in front of the oil sump under what looks like a torrsion bar, hard to see trying to lie on my garage floor with limited space, if it is the RMS i guess i will leave it until the clutch needs doing, i think thats a save bet? Also are the newer seals better, the last one i had was one of the many improved seals, but not that good by the looks of things.

Yes - the latest seal (4th or 5th generation, I've lost count) is much better.

Richard as always thank you, its the RMS i thought it would happen again one day, i think i will wait until the next clutch change and keep an eye on the puddle, what a pain.
