Im heading the other side of the wall in a little over a week to catch up with some friends I have not seen in a while. as I will be spending a good few hours behind the wheel i'm open to suggestions of what other people listern to.

You need a variety, not to upbeat as it wears you out after a while.
My suggestion would be Steely Dan (Gaucho)
Will be interesting to here what other suggestions you get.

Was listening to the Stones on the way back from Italy last week[:)]

Paul

I should have lent you my copy of the 'Italian Job' although you can't go wrong with the Stones

It's all a matter of personal choice. I'd have a selection of Kraftwerk, Chicane, Gentle People, Schiller (lots of Schiller), St Etienne and possibly some classical Holtz. My wife would hate this and insist on Caro Emerald, Emeli Sande, a bit of Madonna and quite a lot of Lumineers.

What do you enjoy listening to?

Oli.

If you're going north of the border I would suggest this.....[:D]

AC/DC, Joe Satriani, Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro, Muse and Fall Out Boy and Beethoven for me.... amongst others[;)]

It is a German car... Die Toten Hosen...

and 1Live on the radio (OK, I needed to update the headunit to connect to my phone from which I can then stream German radio... and it drops out all the time - I did get half way round the M25 with it once though)

I find that New Dawn Fades by Joy Division suits long sodium lit motorways / autobahns/routes/stradas... In a broadly similar vein, so do Editors CDs.

I am toying with changing it, the kenwood unit I use at the minute is just to damm hard to use whilst on the move.

For a trip on my own LA Women by the Doors. Especially if its dark.
Just great.

Nice.

Just fitted in to morning break in the sixth form common room.

That and Roadhouse blues.

My Dad and I always used to have an informal competition as to how many miles you could travel to listening to Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits on the alchemy live album. I won that when I got a 911 [:D]

For wafting along motorways there is nothing better than Jean Michel Jarre. For twisty mountain roads then AC/DC, Black Flag, The Stooges, or Faith No More are pretty darn good. oh and Man or Astroman? and Dick Dale are good just about everywhere.
