Road trip..... (Pic heavy)

.......to Leicester!![:D] Shot over to see Mike (A9XXC) this afternoon. He took me out in to the sticks for some photo opportunities. I forgot how good some of the roads are around that way, just what my square dash was invented for[8D]

Mike has moved his registration on to his new 2.7 so those who know him wont recognise the reg in the pics, but the white one is his!

I took way too many pics and have probably posted too many here but they are here for your pleasure if you wish to look at them [;)] (just realised, I haven't taken any interior shots of my car - will have to sort that)

Those 2 on the road together would be a rare site indeed...............luverly, i love early Lux cars, don't get me thinking, bugger i will be looking at prices now !
Got taken out in a early Lux when i had just passed my test i knew the dealer i was going down to his showroom to stare at it through the window on a regular basis, set me off on them really !

Look fab, both of them!

So how is life with a Square treating you compared to your S2? I bought my S2 around the same time you bought yours, I'm still loving mine but I am curious as to how you view the two cars?

Forgotten how cool cookie cutters are, the cars look great. Makes me miss my square dash 944.

I love it! The S2 was a very smooth, refined car and would have made a great daily but the square dash is just what I was after, it's a lot more 'raw' and even going not too fast takes more effort, it's more of a drivers car for me

We had a really nice afternoon on a beautiful day - not sure about sneeking pics of me in though!

The 2.7 is now A9XXC and the square dash car has reverted to its original reg as it will be for sale shortly.

Andy's red one looks a really nice car and the 2 together did turn some heads!

There were a few Sunday drivers around but we found a couple of clear stretches[;)]

I've loaded some pics here

but here is just one

Two 944's together look more than twice as good as one ... pictures like that make me really like the look of the early cars with the more complex front ends - something that I normally don't go a bundle on. Looks like a fantastic day out, but why were you being pursued by a large dalek?
