Mostly as an exercise to remind me how to post pics here, some photos of my very recent trip to Spain and France proving that the CGT is a great continental tourer [:D]
The equipe,

(thats well rubbish!)

Cracking pics. Any issues with the car on the trip? Whenever I take the 924S down to the Vendee, it gets regarded as if it was a ferrari by the locals. Lord knows what their reaction would be to a GT [:D]

It was indeed a wonderful time, three weeks of sun, good food and drink and fine company!

The car ran impeccably all the time, and despite the weather showing 40+ degrees temp for many afternoons (we of course did not follow the mad dogs (and Englishmen) routine of going out in it) the temp gauge did not waver.
Maybe a recored rad and a new head gasket by my friends at PCT helped, but all worked well. Car saw off diesel Audi's chasing me up some of the passes I crossed - that storming mid range torque on a '80s turbo installation was crushing.

We went through the Vendée, on our route down and yes - the car did get lots of discussions with locals started. Splendid.

[FONT=verdana,geneva"]sc0tty, my friend road trips are FTW!!!!
You must get out there and run across Europe - miss the autoroutes (pistas strada bahn etc) and stick to the nationals. You will always see great places

We went down the left hand side of France and the Millau is in the centre, also a great route. Head to Marseilles and have a different experience!

Nah. You gret a decent window of opportunity: after birth, the next year-and-a-bit are out. But then we took our son, when he was 18 months, all the way to a wedding near Lyon, then to the coast, and he was absolutely fine..he slept most of the way there..and back!

I hope your right.
TBH it gives me the time to get the car to the condition I would like :)
