Got an email supposedly from our friends Robin and Jo saying they're on holiday, have been mugged and are trying to raise 1900 euros. Of course it is possible its true - but at the same time messages just like this are often sent from hijacked email accounts. If anyone has a method for contacting them other than via their aol.com account, perhaps they'd like to check if they're OK?

Chris.

I’ve just left a message on Robin’s phone - I received that ‘vacation’ email as well.
My opinion is that it’s a scam and their email account has been hacked.
It doesn’t sound like an email they’d send (the way it’s written) anyway...

I'll sent them a Text message as I have his Mobile number but I haven't received an Email as yet
but I do think its a scam too as I know they don't use there Emails match as they are busy doing
other things but I know they are off to the Porsche Parade in June soon but may have gone already
if no reply has been receive back from them both and I do hope they are both OK as they both are
lovely people and would help anyone out.

Hi

I have made contact with Robin and Jo Walker and they are both Fine and there E-mail
account has been sorted and bits have been changed but not sure if its the same E-mail
address as people may have but the reply I received said password has been changed
so its likely to be the same email address account for sure.

Robin also told me he and Jo are off to the Porsche Parade in Europe from Friday 27th May
and not sure of return date.

I hope this posting has put the minds of some who was concerned of there wellbeing to bed.

Yours sincerely Kevin.
