Rodent / Mice chewing wiring

lost power in my 991.2 4S last week and noticed my turbos were not spooling (essentially was a 3.0 L NA engine). The dealer was awesome and found the wires that connect to the turbos had been chewed, repaired this (not warranty of course) and all was well.
a week later same issue and the dealer has checked and the cables are again chewed through. So annoying. any advice from folks who have experienced similar or solved this challenge of living with field mice!

Apart from the obvious of setting up some traps, try spraying the area with WD40 to see if that will deter them. Check around to locate any nearby nest and relocate them a lot further away if you want to be humane.
Personally, I would be looking for pest controller! [;)]

As Clive suggests but in addition, assuming the car is garaged, it may be worth trying some plug in pest controllers. Views are mixed as to whether they work or not but I have had some success with them.

No brand name unfortunately, Multifunctional Pest Repeller is all that is noted

During the limited `attacks` the mice appear to have only gone for `sponge` type (nesting) material, both under the bonnet and in other garage items. Maybe leave out some sections of foam as a decoy - substitute  [:D]

Old Audi`s of ours had a pest / rodent protection system built into the wiring loom

Had exactly the same problem on my previous 718 CS, warning light came up on dash to say reduced power. Took it to dealer and the fault code came up as faulty coil pack but further investigation revealed it was actually a wire that had been chewed through. Obviously not covered by warranty but below excess on insurance!
We live next to a field so goes with the territory, the old fashioned solution is the most effective-buy some plastic traps and use peanut butter as the bait.

There’s a product called Ratstop. It comes in a small spray can. Just spray in and around areas you don’t want rodents.
