Hello R21

I signed up to PCGB last month and just took ownership of my first Porsche this weekend.
I spent pretty much the whole weekend in the car, both driving and parked in the driveway pressing buttons. The only reason I went inside is because my wife said I to come in and play with the kids :p

The Porsche is a 911 Gen 2 Carrera Black Edition which is plenty of car for me.

Looking forward to meeting other members.

Hi Roland

Welcome to R21 and Porsche Club GB.
I hope to see you at one of our meetings or events in the near future. In the meantime enjoy your Porsche, they are all the better for driving!

Getting out and driving is good, looking and sitting in it is also good. Seems the Porsche magic is working on you. The club has a great social element and offers much more than just cars. I hope all your family can enjoy your Porsche ownership.
Steve

I think you will have plenty of enjoyment with the region its one of the best, sadly I will not be able to attend anymore as commuting from OZ is not a viable option for me! There's plenty to do throughout the region as well as other regions if you fancy it.[8D]

Slightly odd question but what's the demographic makeup of the region?
New member myself - not been able to make it to the previous pub meet & cannot make tonight unfortunately.
Hope to make it to the breakfast meet in April

I will give you an overview of the Region at the Breakfast Meet

It was great to pull into the parking of the monthly meet location and see it packed with a range Porsche's, I immediately knew I was in the right place [;)]
Everyone was welcoming and those that I spoke to were friendly and there for the same reason, to socialise.
It was a great night and the presentation and story of the American journey was inspiring.

Now then ,demographic.
First, to describe myself to provide some context - 42 years young with two young kids, and a beautiful, curvy ........ Porsche. Oh, and of course an even more wonderful, beautiful wife who enjoys the Porsche as much as I do.

Needless to say I can't speak for the whole demographic of the region as I don't have that information but the majority of those that attended the evening were nearing retirement but I have to say that spirits were incredibly high and it was absolutely not evident.

Looking forward to the next one!

Welcome Roland. A member of just a few months myself. Not attended any Tuesdays yet as that night is a little difficult for me logistically. I am one of the retired types- just back from a Champagne run down to Reims & Epernay, good fun.

Hi Robert
Thanks, without wishing my life away I am looking forward to spending quality time with my Porsche, I mean, wife and Porsche ;)

Champagne run sounds good!
