Hello all,
A while back I was asking about a rolling road to put the 12 on. I ended up using Peter Baldwin (near Cambridge), old chap with loads of knowledge about carbs and boxer engines (mainly Alfas etc). Peter Andrews from Transend uses him when he is setting up cars.
The results were, a huge change to the mixtures resulting in a much smoother idle + pick up, and shift in the dynamic timing (a few degs) which gave a 3 bhp increase. The jetting of the solexs was spot on so no change there.
The Bhp.............112 bhp at the rear wheels, not the most ever but I was quite pleased.[
