I have been looking into getting the Motec unit on mine remapped and have had discussions with 'Road and Track' http://www.tracknroad.com though my car has not actually been there. It was EMC in Birmingham who suggested them stating the'd heard good things of them before. They are located close to the Dartford crossing. When I finally get my car back I'll be booking it in. Cheers Mick

ORIGINAL: Indi9xx Does Emerald still offer that as a service?
Sorry if I am about to cross wires... Is Emerald something to do Road and Track? If so, Road and Track have confirmed they can do a rolling road remap of my car which round Motec management. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick, Mick

Emerald, the Makers of the Emerald M3D engine management system. If I had a car which was running an Emerald engine management system, I would probably get them to remap it, at least then its being mapped by someone who intimately knows the software and electronics inside and out. [link=http://www.emeraldm3d.com/rolling-road]Emerald Rolling Road[/link] For Motec, most generic rolling road tuning outfits should be able to deal with it, like most could deal with the Emerald, but to be honest, if Motec had a UK centre where the actual boffins are located, and had a rolling road there, I would get them to tune any Motec conversions as well. Just out of interest, why did you guys go for an aftermarket ECU rather than having the original DME remapped or customised?

I will give emerald a ring. My car came with the emerald ecu, otherwise I would have stuck with the original.

The car came with Motec so it is unlikely to be changed now! Regards Mike
