Roof not working - help!!!

Guest

New member
Afternoon all.

Took the hardtop off, first time in a few months. Softop now won't work.
Now the handbrake is on, but it isn't lit up on the control panel - therefore I'm assuming the car thinks the handbrake is not on, hence won't allow me to raise the roof.

any ideas folks?
many thanks

Carefully prise off the trim panel on the transmission tunnel next to the handbrake. You'll see where the contact for the handbrake light is (the blade connector). Wiggle it about to see if you can get the light to come on. If you get it working, try the roof. If it's back to life then hey presto! Crimp the blade tightly with your pliars then clip the trim back on. Enjoy the sun!

I've asked the same question on 5 porsche forums - yours was the only reply & it has worked a treat!

fantastic, give it a good wash & top back down!

many thanks for your help
have a great weekend

Andyandvic - glad it worked.

Everyone else is doing what they should be doing - driving about in the sun. I've been done over by a client and I'm at work.... [][:'(][:(]
