Hi guys, do any of you know the part number for the little white plastic bits that hold down the strip inbetween the door and the roof? I believe there are 6 of them and some are broken and they no longer hold the strip down properly.

Cheers

Chris

Do you mean the roof joint strips? There are 5 clips on each side.

Item 9 - 996.559.405.01 - £2.27 each
Item 10 - 996.559.403.01 - £2.27 each

Yep thats the bits. I think number 9 is the part im thinking of. Im a bit reluctant to take the strips off and check as they seem a bit fragile Do you know how much the full strip is I bent it slightly when i took it off as somebody filled the flaps with what looks like black silicone sealant and it was very sticky.

Sitting down?

The roof strips are £135.12 +VAT each, and that's in primer, so they will need painting.

The rubber seals are £21.68 +VAT each.

Hmm maybe ill tweak it myself then[:D].

They look like the bits that the hinged cover flaps clip in to. Item 11 on the diagram. If so, they are part number 996.559.729.00 @ £2.27 each.

Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant. The cover flaps (item 12) are part number 996.559.501.00.G2X (front) or 996.559.503.00.G2X (rear) @ £9.14 each (in primer).

Edit: Can I see the part number moulded into the edge?

Sorry i think i'm confusing you again[:)]. This isn't the part that the flaps clip into as ive changed one of those, this is just 1 1/2" long roughly. They clip on the black bit on the car.

In that case, they must be the item 10 parts on the diagram. Porsche tend to mark every part, especially plastic parts, with the part number. Have you looked closely to see if it is embossed on the part?
