roof rack wanted or any know any for sale cheers matt
I need some hen's teeth and a sky hook, if you find them....[
I'd love a roof rack as well, partly because I'd use it, but it'd also make for some great pictures. If anyone's selling one (would be the first in my six years of ownership) please consider me second in line!
Just a thought, have you called a Porsche Centre? Might just be the sort of thing they have "out back" and would like to clear out at cost?

A roof rack on a 944 ?
It's what the bolts inside the rear hatch, on the c-pillars, are designed for.
The 944 was always meant to be a very useable car. Roof rack is essential for things like skis, windsurfers etc. and makes a lot of sense. Like the optional tow-bar. I'd like one of those as well. [8|]

I changed my 944 for a 996 about 3 years ago and they have sat in the back cupboard ever since. I actually now have the roof transport system on the 996 which is just as cool.
I have the locking key (which stops them being stolen) for the front bar. The rear key is missing but is thankfully in the unlocked position, but this never bothered me as the rear bar can't be removed (ie stolen!) with the hatch down.
I have just checked my paypal history and I paid £146 for them back in 2005. Probably sounds a lot but as Paul says they very rarely come up for sale and it took this much to win the auction on ebay.
Not desperate to get rid of them but if I got my money back (plus any shipping cost) I'd be happy to pass them on. I'm in Dublin though so not sure how much the shipping back to the UK would be.
If anyone's interested then feel free to PM me (although I've never received a PM before so I'm assuming it works). No dramas if not - just thought I'd offer them around in case anyone is keen.
Cheers
Greg

Nice vid, although there is a frankly disturbing he/she that crosses in front of the camera at approx 1:42. [&:]

Makes so much sense, should come as standard. Bit like the old luggage racks on the back of proper sports cars like Morgans and MGs back in the day.

Old pic of mine.
I have a soft roof bag by Thule. It's very convenient to store it but quite ugly on the car...
I wish I could find a Porsche box. The current ones (post 993) don't look to fit fine on the "old" style bars.
