Does anyone know who makes the Porsche roof racks for the New Cayenne? I would like to buy one but would rather not pay Porsche prices!

Thanks

Looks like they only do the Roof rails system now .. So My system would not fit as it was for a Rail less car .. and as Tiskev asks "Do you think there was a change in the slots ? " I would guess his is for a rail less car too

HTH

From memory mine is not as high as yours and seemed more shall we say streamlined .
I will go and look at the car but i think i have a channel either side .It clipped in and you
levered it up and locked with key.It is genuine porsche ..It was £2/300 I think
Maybe European Car Parts etc do a cheaper version ?

Just a thought if the NEW Toureg has the same roof the rack is probably half the price ?
It will be worth a look in any case .

Well i fit toerag wiper blades on mine and they were half the price
so I guess it runs right through.

ORIGINAL: david_yorkshire

manufactured by Thule

They might be now (I've not seen the recent ones) but the previous gen were made by Mont Blanc (rebranded "Performance" range), unless they were a very close copy.

Have spoken to my OPC. Here's the story.

The New Cayenne will only take a roof rack if it has factory fitted rails. There are no slots and the rails cannot be dealer fitted. The Porsche cross bars cost £200 (versus the Touareg at £233).

The cross bars from the old Cayenne will not fit the new model.

Make sure you try European Car Parts and there is another after market co selling stuff in the UK.
If you are not in a hurry i will try locate something in France via contacts in the French Porsche Club
