roof stuck

just after some ideas?

I gave my Boxster to my dad as a gift as I dont have anymore room and never used it for ages.
But he converted it fine but went to put the roof back up and it stuck, now when I stand at the back of the car the left hand side running is off and the right hand makes no noise like its stuck.
I took it to the garage and they got it back up and said one of the arms were bent but when I converted it again last night it was about to do the same thing, back starts to life but only left hand side lifts and comes off the runner, the left seems to be missing that sliding runner that the right has??

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused... What runners? Did the Garage fix the bent arm? If not then you are asking for trouble until it's replaced. If only one side lifts it can be because the cable drive has failed. If only one side moves then DON'T try to complete the sequence as you WILL bend something! It could also be one of the tension cables - are they in place on both sides? You can raise the roof in an emergency - instructions are in the drivers handbook - but you must then get it fixed as the car is unsecure.

they said something was bend and they sorted it but said I really need a new one, when I say runners, i mean when the metal back of the car lifts you can see the arms and its the arms from the metal that slide like a kitchen drawer?
