Rotrex superchargers.

Interesting, they will also re-grind your 944 cam. They seem to have several prices, might give them a ring tommorow.

TTS been around a long time. They started doing bikes 30+ years ago & seem to have evolved.
Centrifugal superchargers are very popular in the US & the Rotrex has been used on an Elise conversion amongst others.

I'm using a Vortech from the US for mine. Max BHP is around 850 on this compressor build.
Pics are here. http://www.pbase.com/tr7v8/944_sc_project

Their cams look OK but to be honest I'd tried Dave Newman in Farnborough.

Great work Jim and thanks for the camshaft source. If I get cams for my lux I take it I'll need the DME re-mapped. I think it would cause problems when the DME is injecting based on RPMs at WOT where the cames would change the air flow.

TBH it would be a cam on an 8V ;-)
Yup the DME would need remapping, bare in mind that the DME fitted to a 944 is a relatively dumb device compared to current ECU stuff.
My S2 lump came without a loom or DME so I'll probably go for an after market management. Debate at the mo is Emerald or Megasquirt. Assuming the cam has more duration & overlap then the fueling could vary considerably, assuming you don't go mad then a good mapper could set up the original DME to suit.

...then a good mapper could set up the original DME to suit.

Remember a 1984 doesn't have a removable "chip" so it isn't easy to replace it with an EEPROM
