I'm sure there are some on here who remember last year when my '88S started playing up, gear box died and before that there was a clanking from the bell housing, well I mamaged to pick up a replacement box and TT recently.
Managed to get the old box out, and was going to drop the rear axle and just replace the TT as well, well that didn't go as planned (couldn't free the main bush bolt on the near side so......
Decided on keeping the original TT and replacing the damper, as that was the cause of the rattling on tick over
So here's the difference between a damper thats died and a new(ish) one...
