A month after having a severe misfire in very wet weather which was diagnosed as 'occasional misfire in cylinder number 3' by the PST2 at local OPC, my 97 C2 Cab runs and accelerates fine but will occasionally miss a beat when cruising and sometimes develops a roughness on tickover felt as a vibration through the seat when sitting at lights. The tacho needle wavers very slightly. Could this all be due to the ignition coils breaking down or is there something more sinister brewing? The car had a service 500 miles ago.
