The Porsche Club have been invited to the Royal International Air Tattoo 20, 21 July 2013 at RAF Fairford

Richard Watling asked for the following to be circulated, he has sent a covering email, a small extract of two paragraphs are reproduced here:
Essentially there is a tarmac space in the middle of the static display area which has been allocated for car clubs and you could bring your Porsche there for one day or the other or indeed both Saturday and Sunday as part of a very attractive arrangement "" which would include hospitality in a specially allocated area.

Lastly I should say that the motivation in doing this is charitable in that the Tattoo is as mentioned a charitable venture for the RAF Benevolent. In addition there will be the presence of a local charity, Hope for Tomorrow, which is based in Tetbury and which provides mobile chemotherapy units to the NHS to use in the West country. The founder is Christine Mills who with her late husband was the manager of Derek Bell in his Porsche world championship days. Derek is now an ambassador for the charity which we are of course also supporting at the Silverstone Classic. Stirling Moss is her Patron and there are many other members of the classic motor racing community who help her fund raising efforts. The charity will be present and active at the Tattoo.
If you are interested I could forward more details

Richard attached a flyer, here is a copy of the text:

Arguably the world's biggest and best international airshow RIAT is extending you a special offer which gets you to the centre of the action and the chance to display your Porsche in the main display area with a unique collection of rare and sporting vehicles of the era.

The Royal International Air Tattoo offers you a very special hospitality package, for the weekend, to attend this fantastic event in the Cotswolds.

The Air Tattoo is unique, with its daily 7-hour non- stop flying display, packed with first class aerial action, featuring many of the world's most skilful aerobatic display teams, performing in the skies in front of your hospitality area.

No other air show will offer such an exciting blend of international aircraft, stunning aerial formations, special paint schemes and interaction with so many of the world's aviators.

The last flying Avro Vulcan will be on the ground close to the Vintage Village and in the air for what might, sadly, be one of its last outings before retirement.

If you can take your eyes off the aviation action, you can visit the Cockpit Village, Pilots Mess Bar and Battle of Britain arena where you will also find a Vintage Tea Room, and listen to 1940's singer Madelaine Brown.

For the first time in the history of this longstanding Air Tattoo, this year there will be an area dedicated to classic cars of the forties and fifties as well as more recent sports cars, and the Porsche Club has been invited to bring a significant group of cars especially to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 911.

As a member of one of the invited Clubs you would be offered the chance to bring your Porsche (not necessarily a 911) for one of the two days, or the whole weekend, on very favourable terms. Essentially the package consists of entry tickets for you and your co-driver, positioning your Porsche in the central display, access to the special viewing enclosure and excellent hospitality through the day.

Because of the special issues of securing and organising a busy air show, entry has to he controlled. We ask that you present your vehicle on Friday the 19th by 1830 if possible to have it in place before the event opens, or at the latest 0630 on the Saturday/ Sunday. A complimentary breakfast will be available for you in the Vintage Village at 0730-0900 Saturday/ Sunday.

If you decide to come for both days then you can leave your car through the night where there will be armed security with constant surveillance during the day, as you would expect of a high security RAF facility; so if you wish to take a day off over the weekend to visit the Cotswolds we will take care of your vehicle whilst you are away. You can of course take your car off site for the Saturday evening, after 1930, if you are attending the full weekend; your car would just need to be back on site by 0630 the following day.

You will be provided with a very attractive hospitality package as a token of our appreciation for the effort involved in bringing your Porsche.

Your exclusive package, dedicated to you includes:

Access to the Pimm's Flight Deck Enclosure
Excellent viewing point at the eastern take off point
Private Garden with directors chairs, tables and umbrellas
Picnic Lunch and Ice Cream Dessert
Sheltered Area
Pay Bar
Private Toilets
Close to the Vintage Village and the Vulcan

The cost of this whole package including the entry ticket for you car is just £48 per person for Saturday and £35 for Sunday, which is less than half the normal cost and really extraordinary value for money. If you wanted to attend the whole weekend the price would be £83 per person.

We plan to create a special Porsche display featuring, but not limited to, the 50 years of the 911 in the heart of the static display area of the Tattoo. We expect that the Club's Racing Mobile Unit will be there to provide the backdrop. Our only request is that you have your Porsche on site by 0630 in the morning and stay until 1930 in the evening. Special entry and exit routes will enable you to avoid the traffic. Come for the day or have a great weekend in the Cotswolds.

One of our selected Charities of the Year "" Hope for Tomorrow "" which provides mobile chemotherapy units for the use of NHS Trusts in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties will be present throughout the weekend, with the chance to win a signed poster from their Patron, Sir Stirling Moss.
