RS America

I would have said the value in America is a starting point. I seem to recall one advertised at around £30k ? The question is, why should an RS America be worth more here, than there ? When we have the real thing ?

As I know little about the RSA other than reading posts that they are not considered a true RS, C2 based etc. Let's say the car checks out, it's in VG condition, service history, 65k miles etc. What's your opinion on the current value (range) in the market these days? Any thoughts appreciated guys..

Sorry no link Des as the car is not advertised as yet. I was asked by a friend for a guide (ballpark) as my experience is based on IB's and the 993 I thought I would ask you guys. I understand the information is basic but thats all I have at the moment [;)]

As little more than a standard C2 I see no reason for any significant premium. On rarity this side of the Atlantic it might justify something extra but it's nothing like an RS. Many of them are loaded with things such as aircon and sunroof too and the only nod to the RS-proper is the interior trim. The engine is standard C2/4 - and you don't even get the pop-up spoiler!!! As standard they had the fixed wing on the back although there are a few around with the pop-up. I would advise price to be judged against a comparable C2. Regards Dave

That´s what I think. I don´t see a special market in Europe. The RSA is more or less considered a mongrel...and I think, that´s what it is. Hacki

What they say............watch this space, made enquiries of an RSA owner....

The uneducated will pay too much for one. And there is always someone who is uneducated. :) seem them sell for 25k+ here they sell for a premium in the US but they haven't got much else to get excited about....although why they get excited about this I don't know either

In the USA they are very sought after, most of them have had major make overs from the engine, suspension and even a lot of European RS extras. Some have been done very well and a few to N-GT/Cup spec. Rumour has it that a few have the 964RS shell with rolled arches as the factory had a few left over. I think there is a greater premium for RSA over a C2 of similar condition. But it will never be a Euro Spec RS, another marketing exercise to shift the last 964's in 1994 in America, but still sought after.
