Hi,

I have just had a very pleasant trip down to see Paul at GT Classics in Andover this morning to view his very nice red 993rs [8D]

If the previous owner of this vehicle frequents this forum and would be happy to let me know all about the history of this car I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm looking at an rs or a GT3. I don't think I need to ask this forum which one I should go for.....[:D]

Thanks !

PP

Dont know previous owner , saw that car couple of weeks ago, right mileage , good straight car at abt right price ........cud nt fault it , can u ??
2nd question anything else in this condition to compare it with ??
Couple of RHD around differnt price range and plenty of bent ones in a variety of colours, all dogs!
Good luck dont miss it just go and enjoy it ..............

Thanks for your words of wisdom Vic. I was talking to Paul about your Orange Monster [:)]

Paul kindly let me drive the car - it's truly wonderful. As much as I enjoyed driving a selection of GT3's recently, this one has really got me hooked. I can safely state that this car is getting very serious consideration.

Don't hang around then..... it will be gone especially as you have tipped off the Nation........then you can come and play in Judgement Day 2....

I don't know them that well....but have known the last 2 owners of the car....both decent guys in their 50's who cherished the car and didn't appear to use it hard.

Haven't seen Graham, the last owner on here for a while though.

both decent guys in their 50's

Can't be Vic then [:D]

The Red RS was featured in an RS article in 911 & Porsche World in April this year. It was was owned by Graham Watts at that time.

Guys,

Thanks to you all for your advice - it is greatly appreciated [:D]

The chaps at JZ Machtech look after my current 993, and Steve at Jaz spruced up my suspension earlier this year. I take it that both are very capable of looking after a rs....

Steve at Jaz looked after all of mine , and JZ also know how to treat them ..............other than good Porsche experience , and a book to tell u the differnt parts if in doubt ,i would suggest they dont need any special care ..............

Well done...it's a great car.

I know the previous owner (Graham) as a personal friend. He cherished the car to the extent he couldn't use it through fear of damaging it.....(sounds like me)[&:]

If it's any help, he IS the fussiest toad I know and he bought it so it must be a goodun.

Evening all.....

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. Hopefully the purchase will go smoothly and I look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday and the rest of you over the coming weeks, months and years !

The car is fantastic and has been very, very well looked after. I hope I can continue to keep her in the same condition [:)].

This is a great club to belong to and it seems that the 'rs' community is a club within a club. I look forward to playing an active part in keeping it that way in the future.
