RS Clutch and flywheel

Has anyone replaced the standard clutch/flywheel with the RS version. Mine is coming up for replacement and I am thinking of going this route. I know it makes more noise on tickover, but have been informed it improves engine response and makes it feel more lively?? Anyone tried this?

It can cause stalling problems, but we're not talking about every dip of the clutch. I think the problem mainly happens when the engine is cold, funnily enough. Wayne can map the ECU to make the situation better, but the only way to stop it completly is to go with MOTEC or similar, I understand.

I've got one on mine and yes, there is a bit more vibration, but considering the difference it makes to the way the engine spins up, I wouldn't be without it.

Totally agree, Wayne is the man to improve the Mid range and the clutch flywheel change is a very positive move ............SO DO BOTH !

wayne schofield 07977 004476 i watched him do a silver 993 c2 at ABG few years ago ,i had something similar having full remap, owner could nt stop grinning all the way home down the Motorway! BTW not expensive ............

No need for a remap when doing the RS light flywheel.
The '96-'98 have an automatic ISV, the '94-'95 can be adjusted manually so the idle is some rpm's higher.

While u dont need to rechip ,the price of Waynes work more than outweighs the benefit of flywheel and clutch spinning up a little easier ..............my point the combination gives real overall gain ..................

Don't know about 993, but my turbo has LWT clutch/ flywheel package, and no stalling issues, no noise, and improved response. There are several tuners who do flywheel packages (I used Patrickmotorsport in the States) so shop around and go for one that others have used without problems.
