heard thru the grape vine that 11th is date for the annual RS event haven't got price yet let u all know ASAP

Yep,
early this time round, guessed it would be later in March. As a consequence I'm away to Singapore so won't make it. But please keep me posted as Jnr might take one of the cars along.
D.

Im definitely going next year . Missed the last two years due to skiing - but they wont clash in '16.

It would be deserted if they weren't. Anyway nothing v.special about an RS except the price and crap colour scheme

Hi guys due to poor response to our usual" group booking discount" nobody has confirmed doing the RS trackday or Donnington so ive decided not to bother organising accommodation so suggest u book ur own thru Richard @ Wallhill Farm . My 997 Cup car engine will be going thru a total rebuild and I cant g/tee ill be attending any trackdays until mid April .... Gordon ps looking at doing Spa early /late summer just trying to get 2 day event as most track organisers are doing individual day let u know asap

What's the Hamden with donnington? I'm booked for Oulton, but would be interested in making it a double header.

as prev post don't know if car will be ready ..but u can book direct with Chris @ Circuit Days. I always try and get group booking for some discount /free garage etc but this is the poorest response ive had for an annual BIG trackday although I think they should rename it, as not a lot Rs s around nowadays due to high values and last year was quiet + some of regular guys x2 (15years) turned up in there caterhams (as Angelsy was on next day .. made sense after driving from Scotland) ... seemed to cause complaints with some guys on P/Heads this year!!! At least they were on track ... rather than in the car park admiring !!! Used to be a great busy track day with a few "on it"... think its lost its sparkle

As one of the two Caterhams who were complained about I will respect the view that I'm not welcome and won't go again. As with the previous year I only stepped in at the last minute and paid full rate to take the place of someone else who had booked, had re-advertised the place on here and on PH and had no takers with a Porsche, so 2 days beforehand myself and GreigS talked to MSV and agreed since we had extensive history of being at the event, were experienced and polite track drivers and wouldn't "get in the way" they were happy for us to take the places. Without doing this there was 2 Porsche owners who were looking at a couple of hundred quids loss and in no way did we take a space from another Porsche. It does seem that however polite you drive there are some people who would rather force others to take the financial hit than share track time with a couple of non-Porsche, so I'll respect this and not offer the "last minute" service. It does seem a shame though as I gave passenger rides all day to many of the Porsche drivers and they seemed to appreciate the chance to go round at a quick pace and get the experience of mixing it with the fastest out there. Besides that I captured the best video footage of anyone on the day and even made up a couple of edits for people showing their particular car.

The day used to be what I would term a hard core trackday, rapid well driven, track focused cars.
Its now a show and shine event and while there are loads of nice cars there they are in the car park and not on track.
In many ways you can't blame them, if you had a 993RS valued at £££ and it took a hit on track the pics would be all over forums and the cars future value would be knackd.
As a driver and not trailer trash, the date really is too early as the salty roads up here are grotty up until end of March and the car ends up needing a 4hr clean after this trip.
Look forward to some dates later in the year.

Under the circumstances above I can see no problem allowing a non Porsche but I'd like it not to be a Catheram for the reason that my car being LHD it can be difficult to see a Catheram or similiar on your inside which in the past in my case has lead to a near miss. This day for me remains one of the hghlights of the year and IMHO the best behaved drivers anywhere. It's good too that we get the eye candy cars in the paddock.

The next GT3 is here and awaits your test drive! [:D] Was about to text you Gordon about a place at Oulton and/or Donington but too late.
