Is this new venture anything to do with Lotus on track? http://www.lotus-on-track.com/ I have done a few days with LOT in the past, even in a Porsche, they seem to have some great deals compared to some of the other track day operators.

Nothing at all! But we may look at some future days together

nothing to do with lotus Paul, the concept is good and should work. Have you booked oulton yet paul, its about time you gave it a bit of gravel rash.

Have you applied for membership of the ATDO yet? Will help with people's insurance. [sorry - just saw this was answered on another thread]

<In response to Paul H> Sadly not for me, the excess on the car is now too high for me to enjoy such track fun. I am sure it will sell out quickly, now an established part of the Porsche enthusiast calendar! [:)]

Paul , although not doing this next one ,have to say RS days at Oulton have been best track behaviour......................

well i have my own black flag so the marshals say any way![:D] It is as vic says one of the best controlled days around, mostly self policing as 99% of drivers are very well mannered. We did have one guy last year who said he was coming to race all the 997gt3rs,just to prove how quick his car was on a public forum. Our answer, entries are available in the porsche club gt challenge, he was also surprised at the high driving standard on the day and went home. Any mishaps that we have had, have mainly been early in the day, track greasy and cold drivers!!! We dont want people to expect to have to be driving gods just to get on the rs day or any other pot,i mean just look at melv[:D],paul you would be well with in your comfort zone[;)]

Melv was transporting one of my cars yesterday and told me about the concept. Fills a hole in the market in my opinion and great to see this happening. Well done! Ian.

thanks, hopefully get a classic day going like we did at silverstone a few years ago,a nice classic day to cel 50 years of the 911.

Hi all On the recommendation of another member that's done this event in the past, I've just hesitantly booked on. First track day so will be the one going around with L plates and gripping the wheel like I'm on my driving test. Look forward to meeting some of you in March. Now to get reading! Stuart

Stuart, dont be hesitant, its a great day. Just speak to tim he will show you the way round and some instruction, driving standards very good.I cant help as will not be at this one, melv will also be on hand.
