RS moving around under throttle

Hi guys...

I've noticed recently that my rs is moving around under throttle application. It tends to pull to the right under throttle and then back the other way when i come off the gas. I've had a couple of suggestions from the diff (as far as i'm aware its the original item - 45000kms) to kinematic toe and bushes etc.

i track it quite regularly and I only seemed to notice the pull when i went from street tyres to pirelli semi's. I had a good look under the car today and non of the bushes look shot (would you expect any movement at all from the bushes!? lower arm seems to have a small amount of side to side)

Tyres are new....Pressures are the same...Suspension set-up done a while back but the car didn't suffer from the complaint when it was done.

on a separate note ive got a really annoying squeek from the back....sounds like little people! drives me bonkers!

Apologies for the questions but being in dubai means people with the required knowledge are thin on the ground.

Cheers, Phil

Hi Phil, this sounds like the diff plates to me, simple test, jack the back end from the engine central web, spin one wheel,
the opposite wheel should turn, if not then diff plates require replacing, get the porsche motorsport plates which are much tougher than standard, had the exact same problem with mine and the new diff plates cured it.

thanks steve...ill check it out!

mind you last time i did that test the wheel moved...then didnt .....then did[&:]

oh well

Another check............ is it the same under heavy braking , ie squirming ......i d go for diff plates even from several thousand miles away!

I think I may get some fitted too, any recommedations for fitting (& cost guides). Am in london but will travel

thanks

Hi Julian, motorsport diff plate pack £536.00, new crown wheel bolts £34.20, safex J gear oil ( 4 litres ) £55.20,
Labour £50.00, total £675.50 plus vat, labour costs will vary depending on who you use !

thanks for the info, will sort out in the next few weeks! if nayone has the part number for the plates, that would be great to ensure I get the right ones!

Just some thoughts
If the car is moving around that much,it does not sound like diff plates.
Noise from the back also!anything loose, gearbox or engine mounts loose, subframe bolts times 4 tight?
If only happening on track tires, are they the same width?
wheel bearing on the way out.
more grip from track tires highlighting the problem.
