RS Parts needed!

I am attempting to get the car as good as possible and there is one glaring ommision from the car.

The seat belt reels have a cover, which is carpeted. There is a duct to the rear which I believe is for the heating/cooling system. On my car, these have been removed and all I hjave is the heating duct sticking up. I would dearly like to get the correct covers and can order them from Porsche but there is a 14-16 week lead time.

If anybody has a pair they no longer want/wish to sell or any suggestion of how to avoid a long wait, I would appreciate some help.

Simon,
I tried to order those same reel covers for my RS-ised C2 but was told by the W. London OPC parts guy that they are no longer available. If you've been told otherwise I'd love to know where from / how much etc.

Cheers,

Jamie

Get to the back of the queue! I have been told by an OPC that they are available, special order and individually made. The price is an eye watering £160.88 +VAT EACH!!!

If I cannot find any in the next few days, I will be ordering some and if you want some too, let me know because I would suspect ordering 2 sets (or more) will be better than 1.

Simon,
Thanks, whilst I'm a stickler for originality I think I might pass at an outlay of £376 for the pleasure ........... they're all yours ;) I suspect it's probably worth it in your case, but I have cunningly managed to carpet over my reels - not the prettiest job, but functional ! Don't forget your 10% discount !

I may have found a source of thse in the UK! They are not OEM and instead of plastic they are metal. However, they would come covered in the correct material and I have been told that they look like the real thing. Price will be significantly less than OEM part. I will keep you posted.

I have always said that the best upgrade for most cars is a better nut behind the wheel! [:D]

Quick update. I was in at Southbound Trimmers today (really impressed) and I now know why I don't have the parts in question. The way the roll cage is fitted means there isn't room for them. I guess that saves me a nice chunk of money!
