RS Seam Welding - I think I've found the truth?

sorry to raise the age old discussion about seam welding (yawn), but whilst looking for something else in the Porsche 964 workshop manual, I came across a section titled 'scope of conversion, C2 to RS - instruction for conversion of 911 carrera body in white to 911 carrera RS (base and NGT versions)'
13 pages describing welding and bits to take off & add on

I've got it saved as a pdf if anyone wants a copy - apologies in advance if I'm just re-hashing what people know already - but it seems to give answers for those trainspotters amongst us [;)]

cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,

If you get a chance can you email that pdf to grharvey@bankofny.com - thanks. After being in Adrian's RS last week, i'd like to make a few more alterations to my C2. Suspension is first and then new front seats and door cards.

wud like to join the list ......copy to private email ,or might be easier to stick on here and we can all download?
tks anyway

Yes please Matt!!

Also, see Adrian Streather's book, pages 324-327. He also mentions the Carrera 2 Supplement of Volume 5 of the 964 Carrera workshop manual, which is where I assume you found this, and finishes 'This is not a DIY project'.

Yawn ............... me too please in case I can't sleep tonight.

Actually, I have an England Rugby video for that [:D]

Dont even mention the rugby ..............worst 6 Nations since inception ,or was it abt who cud make the most mistakes ?

no idea how to stick the pages on the site for people to upload, so will forward it on individaully to everyone who has asked..

edited to say - can't attach it if e-mailing through the forum - so if you want a copy can you email me please and i'll reply back with a copy

PS - you're all a bunch of trainspotters [;)]

matt

Posting it on the web would break copyright! But then again, so will copying it to everybody and I bet that the original you have is a pirate copy[;)]

Have tried emailing u ,keeps getting bounced ...........w eonly met a couple of times so dont think its personal!

Vic - sorry you didn't appreciate the 6 nations, I thought it was rather good. Wales's second half against France was pretty exciting and nice to see a running game of rugby rather than the kick and chase schoolboy efforts of England [:'(]. I'll put it on a tape and you can watch it all again!!!

Sorry if a bit off topic.

Matt, have sent you a mail.

Regards

All those red shirts perhaps u need a Ferrari...............the Irish virtually froze and ur lot in fairness just abt managed to nail em !!! sOORY MATE THAT WAS NOT TOP CLASS RUGBY .........................sadly to old to demonstrate exactly wat i mean !
