Hi all ,We all know that Tony styled the basic 993 shape but who designed the rs and aerokits?? Is it known??
Christian................

The development car was used for testing with the Clubsport spoilers --- but as to who was involved in their design --- ?

We know the big names but there would be many more ---

I guess the designers would be looking for professional feedback and data in some form ---

There is a technical manual for the 993RS, let me have a look [:)]

Chris, this intrigues me, I would have assumed the Clubsport/RSR kit was made for the cup & RSR cars and found it's way on to the road cars afterwards?

It's performance on track would be important, you don't get much (any) benefit on the road and only on consistent logging of laps in a race car would you optimize the design.

OK ... Cd = drag coefficient, CAF = Front axle lift, CAR = Rear axle lift.

Small Spoilers offer the following values:

Cd 0.33, CAF 0.03, FA lift* N 178, CAR 0, RA lift* N 0 *at 270 kph.

Clubsport Spoilers as follows:

Cd CAF FA lift N CAR RA lift N Wing Angle

0.34 0.00 0 -.02 -119 0 degrees

0.34 0.01 59 -.05 -297 3 degrees

0.35 0.02 119 -.09 -535 6 degrees

0.36 0.03 178 -.12 -713 9 degrees

True, but anything on a road car has to satisfy a much more safety focussed criteria. I guess part of the homologation process.

Interesting to see these figures .... and their publication date.
