Folks,

I'm just working out when Minty will be used again....are there any spa trips planned next year, or anything else similar where some you like minded folks are going?

Just working out if I should be booking something up.

Cheers

Hugh

A few of us are doing the Le Mans classic. 4th, 5th, 6th July. I know it's not a trackday but would be great to see you there.

Would love to do it too, and Oliver has put an entry in, however, I think its unlikely we'll get in. And I'm probably not going to make it unless I have a drive.

If by some lottery winning miracle we get in, you'll be sure to know about it! :)

Hugh - definitely planning to get some Spa action on board in 2014 having not been able to make it these last couple of years. There is a big contingent going from Rennlist 964 forum although I think they tend to go quite early in the year and have suffered for the weather. As much as the PCF days are fun, I want to make more use of the track time. I did manage two days at the Ring this year through Bookatrack. We were blessed with exceptional weather and a very free circuit. Planning to do this again when the dates come through. Bookatrack also have just about the best trackday calendar service which helps plan ahead and covers a number of the other organisers - Goldtrack, RMA, MSV etc.

Cheers.

I am waiting to see if the Rennlist group come up with dates as i missed out on that one this year (though in the end wasn't a bad thing, given the snow). And i still need to wear the t shirt[:D]

Typically, PCF runs day in April, May (PCF Days), June, July and September.

PCF Days in May are the format some of you know about and are typically quite busy--a big Porsche Fest.

The other days are called "Fun Days" and also follow a format that divides drivers between racing and fun sessions but there is more track time (no "sport" session). Also, they are much much less crowded (though the standards of catering remain as high as PCF Days).

See following link for typical organisation/costs and so forth.

It would be quite easy to converge on one of these days (and sync with Olav) if people wanted to do that.

Not sure John but the RSR could do with a stretch of the legs and what better place to limber up?!

Having just had my lil 964 finished I'd like to see how that runs round there compared to last time. Will have to wait and see how plans pan out, then decide.

So which car are you planning on taking ??

That's a good shout too Phil. Went to Olav's during the summer to swap out the indicator / wiper switch assembly on my 964 which completely failed the night before during weather that would have had Noah ordering up timber faster than the Chinese. He has a great set up that is a real credit to him and his team.

Hope we can all hook up at some point.

Cheers

Spa beckons for a lot of us Phil, would be good to get the old school firm back on the road again .......[:)]

Spa would be good, the Rennlisters are arranging a day, again probably in March. This years event was so so cold and an experience driving back in the N-GT with driving snow! Following Minty on a trailer.
Believe the Rennlist date will be announced in the coming weeks -will post here when I see them.

Hehehe [;)]

And drinks are free... [:D]

Seriously, I will post the Fun Day dates when I get them and with luck there might be another track day organised around these dates (with instant coffee, tea and biscuits) or a 'Ring trip or some nice race (e.g. 6 hours of Spa) and we can the decide.

Meanwhile we could all join iRacing and go practice/race at Spa.

Have to admit this is a very good selling point , appealing to peoples stomachs...cunning[:D]

OK, so lots of options, including Spa or possibly Oulton for the RS day. Spa is appealing (because its Spa!) and because it will be 2 days (and if I'm coning back for a weekend, better make it count!). Sounds like waiting now for the dates on Rennlist to finalise is a good idea. I see bookatrack have released dates, or possibly a PCF date.

Very keen to go with a group, even a small group if possible.
