RS Wanted...

Hi all

First post on the Club forum, so I thought I should start here.

I currently own a 2001 996 C4, but recently have been hampering after a little more driving involvement and handling communication, especially as I have come from owning Lotus Elise's.

I've decided that the only way forward now is a 964RS and am looking for an excellent example, preferably in RHD but would consider a LHD if I had to.

Does anyone know of any cars that are for sale. If so could you send me the details so I can look through them and see if they fit the budget. Email to me at my office: ollieATfireboxcreate.com

Thanks all.

Hi Ollie

have you tried the difference between RHD & LHD? driving position in RHD is really offset. the RHD variants all seem to come with lots of carpet, stereos, power steering and comfy big seats as well - a little bit RS 'lite' (sorry Jimbers - just joking [;)])
LHD is the daddy with these..

edited to add: try Tom at H&S in Germany as well http://www.germansportscars.de/shoper.html
good reputation, easy to deal with, and theres the fun of bringing the car back yourself which is a great experience.

Hi Ollie

There is a chap called Paul Mullins who is selling a very nice Rubystone RHD car that he has owned for 8 years. Car has been well cared for and looks to be in excellent condition. A few nice mods but nothing major. Only reason he is selling is because he has bought a GT3 recently.

He has an ad with a colour picture in this months Porsche Post.

There is also a funny guy on this forum called Jimbers who is thinking of selling his Red RHD RS so he can buy a club sport. Make him an offer he can't refuse and I am sure he won't (Go on Jim, you know you want to!!).

Regards

Just to update you all...

I am viewing a great looking Guards Red RHD 964RS in a couple of weeks and hope to be driving it around soon after that!

Cannot wait to join the RS Club.

Ollie,

At the risk of putting the cat amongst the pigeons, as it were, Allan McKee is selling his immaculate Guards Red RS Lightweight. It's in the Members For Sale forum (http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=99877).

The car is currently owned by Colin Smith, he bought the car from Shirleys in Coventry in 2004 but has changed his plans for the car.

I am told it is immaculate, and have spoken to the garage that sold it to him and they say it is perfect.

Cannot wait [:D]
