RSL Seats

Are the seats in our RSLs basically Recaro Pole Positions or some other model?

I have just bought a B7 RS4 and as I expected the seats are giving me gip so I am thinking of putting a pair of race shells in the RS4 that are as close to the RS seats (which my back loves) as I can find.

Fortunateley there is a Recaro subframe for the RS4 which makes the Recaro seats plug and play, and therefore reversible at sale time.
Thx,
Kevin.

No.

The 64RSL seat is bespoke, it is a hybrid between a Pole Position and an SPG. The Pole Position most closely resembles the 64RSL seat from an aesthetic perspective.

Quite a few RS4 owners have retro fitted Pole Positions, it seems to be a popular modification.

Hi Kev, as you know I fitted pole positions in my C2. They're very comfortable for daily use and will be no problem for a skinny chap like yerself [;)]

Steve,
Will give you a shout by phone - might like to pop over sometime soon to compare leathers - if you follow me :)
Cheers,
kevin

if you are on the slim side, I recommend the SPG over the pole for fit, but the downside is the getting in and out bit (if you use the car daily)

Agreed, I tried the SPG at Demon Tweeks over the weekend and it is an ideal fit but probably not great when wearing business garb!

Hi kev

I agree these seats can be very comfy but the one thing I'd be keen to have is the adgustable base; in the RS i have mine in the most reclined position availabe which suits my shape very well yet in a Cayman R (Chris'), I could have done with more lay-back to ease my ever tighter old back
