Just sharing as I'm THAT happy today[:)][:)][:)]

Its been a long time since i've had a day this good and even longer since I last saw my baby!

After 9 months waiting for him (yes this one is a him) to come back after a very kind village neighbour parked her VW Golf on my front bonnet he is finally back.

I know its sad but only those that have had a car away for a long time being repaired or restored will really get what that feeling is like when it comes back  For those of you all with cars away at present believe me its worth it when they return!

Cheshire cat springs to mind!

After a couple hours of polishing and getting the nice left over dust out of every sodding crevice its finally looking good again....

While it was away I decided to sort out the seating as the Sparco seats that were in it were just too narrow for my childbearing wide hips and sat far too high so my knees were up on the steering wheel.

I managed to get hold of some as new leather 964RS Recaro SPG Pole Positions as having spent so long in my 964RS seats I knew these fitted me perfect and would give that racing look too. Chris Nielsen got his interior guy to make me some suede cross stitched diamond pattern cushions and we painted the fibreglass backs the same as the body and the cage.

Added some period REPA harnesses and I'm really pleased with the overall look, comfort and of course practicality for when on track....can't wait!!

The custom made brackets have the seats in a fixed position and have the seats right down in the seat well. You really are low down now...just how I like it!

The belts have a few nice touches too.....

The bonnet area now also comes with period golf club to hold it open...
