Rubber removal

My paint shop told how to do it ...but I ran out time so I let them do it when it was there ...ot makes sense.

Loosen the two alley keys inside the wing ...the gap between the door the the wing , and just look up inside when the door is open . The rear one will be tricky and I was told the door might have to be dropped off its pins to get at this . The front allen key can be loosened when the door is opened . Then with a long strong leveler , with the door open and the point nearest to you when the door is open , lever the gap open between the wing and the car . Then pull the rubber out . Replacement is lots of lubricant ..WD40 etc ..lever open the gap and push and wiggle the rubber back in .

hope that helps .

Just bear in mind the wings are tack welded on in many cases, and thats factory finish.

Kevin.
