Rubbing strips

Evening all, will finally get around to removing my side rubbing strips when the weather perks up a little. Went out to take a look tonight and just wanted to double check something as it hasn't been mentioned before, that I remember. I was under the impression these just pull off with some heat applied, however, the strip on the door itself actually folds round the edge of the door at the handle end and is secured with an allen key bolt. Is this the same on all 944's? Thanks, Ben

I thought that it was riveted? The front and rear wing parts are held on with double sided sponge tape, as youve said.

All stuck on but a rivet on the door where it folds around, got some rivets for them in a bag here (OEM)

The glue can be a nightmare to remove, well at least mine was (may not have been the original glue tbh), in fact I didn't manage to get rid of all of it and had to leave it to the bodyshop. Does look ace though and shows what a beautiful line the car has there [:D]

Upon further inspection, I've found that it is not an allen key bolt, but it's certainly steel - looks like a steel rivet then. Any suggestions for how I might get it out/off?

Mini drill - Dremmel type with a grinding tool? - Guessing its the one on the leading edge, trailing edge - drill
