Does anyone know the whereabouts of any examples of this model in the UK - other than Graham Holder's in Shropshire? I used to own that car and am interested in acquiring another one.....and if I cannot find an SCR, a BTR would be more than welcome!
Thanks
John

I can't find one on the register John but I'm sure there is a 911SCRS in the club somewhere. It's a different animal I know but finding a Ruf 911SCR might be even harder. Good luck. I think I just saw on a programme called 'Ultimate Cars' which as well as having a piece on the Martini 930 also featured the 917! My favourite race car.

Ultimate Cars. That was a fine day out at Dunsfold, and the bit you wouldn't have seen was the McLaren SLR being put through it's paces by company test driver for prospective owner....who wound up spending a long time drooling over Mark Finburgh's 917 - apparent proof that irrespective of what we've got, us boys just always want more!
Thanks for checking the Register for me.

John was your old car the one auctioned at Goodwood a couple of years ago? If not then maybe you could try Bonhams to get hold of the new owner of that car. June 86's Autocar claimed Ruf made around 25 new (his own chassis no) cars per year so in theory there should be a few around but they are'nt easy to track down. try a search on www.mobile.de some often come up on there. There is a very nice btr engined 964 RS on there at the mo. I have been fortunate to drive a BTR engined car and also been round the nurburgring in a ctr both cars are devastatingly quick. I could be tempted out of my 964RS for either car. Good luck with the search.

No Mel, it's changed hands back to it's original owner. PX'd for a ...........964 RS I believe. Sort of done full circle.
