RUF WHEELS and muffler bypass

After many months finally got round to fitting the RUF 5 spokes for Eynsham which was just down the road from me so that they could use it for display purposes! and then they didnt use it!!! - pictures attached.

Still reckon they look the best wheels for the 993 Turbo.

Also after 9 months of dithering picked up a set of Fabspeed Muffler bypasses of ebay for £120/$200 and had them fitted, wow are they loud, especially when the engines cold. I can confirm the resonance problem between 2400 and 2800 rpm, fortunately its below my cruising speed. So for those of you that want a bit more noise then RSR, Maxflo mufflers are the way to go. If you want lots more noise, then muffler bypass is the way to go[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

You will find a set every couple of months on ebay for between £950 and £1500 occasionally with tyres, there is a set up at £1350 just about to run out. I got mine of Piston heads second hand of an 05 996

The fronts fit straight on, the rears need 26mm, Ruf say 28mm after buying 26mm I will need my arches slightly rolled as they touched the other day going over a sharp speed bump, my car is on std suspension with new dampers.

Also plenty of pictures on piston heads 993 Turbo if you search on RUFUS and WALDO

They had a reserve on them higher than £1350 and didnt sell, so I would suggest keeping an eye on that seller for when he next puts them up for sale.

What did you do with those lovely hollow spokes? I'm in the market for a set.

Richard

Hi Richard

I know I saw the email quoting £1250 + wheels in p/ex for Jasmine's, nearly offered mine up. My plan was to keep mine for trackdays and possibly winter, theres a set painted black on ebay that I'm watching.

Keep watching ebay they normally go for £7 to £800
