Run to Reading Porsche

Just wondering if anyone is interested in a run down to Reading for the Porsche Quiz prize giving. If you have never been there before it is well worth a look around.
Weather permitting I would probably leave MK about 11.00

I believe these are promised for the Motorsport weekend. That is not being held until Feb!

The event was the Forum Quiz Prizegiving. It was only intended to be pretty low key, and I was pleased to see as many members present as there were. Some regions have difficulty mustering that many people to thier monthly meetings, so not too bad!
I hope Porsche Cars were as pleased - they had catered for quite a few more, although as people complain if there is too little maybe they were playing safe.

We also seem to have gathered a couple of new members with people who just happened to be in the showroom asking for details, and going home with a copy of Porsche Post and a joining form!

I enjoyed myself[:)]

Mark - thanks for putting the record straight here - everything that was promised for yesterday was delivered (even if it was low key!!)

My "dig" was aimed at Jeff not the organisers. My own small iQ had got it wrong over what was on offer over the two weekends. So please, no need to defend.

I have been to more lively meets though and were it not for knowing Melvin, no one bar the receptionist made much effort to find out who we were. I know it's easy to criticise from the sidelines but these are merely my observations.

I came a reasonable distance and got my treasured car dirty and did not really feel part of a club, merely another visitor.

Sorry about that - not intentional!!
Hope you will attend another event when we can put that right...

FYI... From this weekend, Porsche cars will have - perhaps even on display - (in preparation for impending photo-shoot) A 911 GT3RS, 993 RS, 2.7RS, and Carerra Club Sport... All of them in white / red livery.

Not sure when the official photo shoot is, (I will post as soon as I am aware) but to see that lot on display might be an interesting little picture for budding hacks from R10. (Jeff ?)
