running a bit sluggish 996 TT

Hi there, havent really had many problem with my 996 TT (02) apart from the left turbo being replaced recently... however, recently it seems to be driving very sluggish. The BAR only seems to reach 0.7 MAX and before the turbo blew it would goto 0.8 most times (this was also after the exhaust was replaced with the sports RUF one)

Another thing which I understand is normal with the turbos is in the morning there seems to be excessive smoke (sometimes only left side exhaust with a blue'ish smoke) and quite a bit as well!! another thing is also if I am putting my foot down on a motorway (very rarely :) it will give a puff of black smoke sometimes??

Just wondering if this is normal ???

any advice appreciated :)

tok ,although many have seen the bar number highter, I as yet have only seen 0.7bar on the readout (I'm not trying enough I know )

and Yes they do give an embarrasing ploom of smoke on start up occasionally, but not all the time.

I keep thinking mine is down on power ,but remind myself I'm just getting used to it, take someone out as a passenger and see if they think its quick enough [:D] probably answer OMG!!

Hi Gary

Thanks for the feedback, it could well be true that I am just getting used to it...and if thats the case its very scary as I remember how much I used to scare myself with the sheer power when I first got it.....thats a lot less worrying about the excessive smoke in the mornings sometimes :)

Thanks again
