After 17,000 miles, My Boxster seems to be getting faster. Has anyone else experienced a similar change around this mileage ? The engine seems to pick up much more readily and rev more freely. I can' t wait for my next track day.

happy Boxstering

That's the recommendation for the USA. You will probably find it a little different here.

...In other words, your milage may vary:ROFLMAO:

Why is that? Is it more or less miles for a UK car you are correct I downloaded a US Manual but the mechanics of it must be the same.

For some reason, my 2001 manual says 1000 miles - or 1000km!
Where is the sense in that?[&:]

The US one has been 2000 miles for a while, I think the current 987 is still 1000miles in the UK...

Cool so when I get it hopefully this Saturday I now have 200 miles less to drive than I thought staying below 4000rpm must be very hard!!

Wonder why it's different between Countries really odd!!

Steady on Mark![;)]

(I picked my car up on a Thursday. The following week I had a course at Aslan in Wokenham. Rather than stay over I ran the car in at 40p a mile. I think it was Thursday evening when the 1000 went up.)

Seems like yesterday..[8|]

I'm with you John.
On the 2nd day after I collected my car the 1000Km that I was told to run-in for clicked over - at the bottom of the Stelvio Pass[8D]
I had 2000 miles on it before I took it in 10 days later to have the UK plates put on.
