I don't quite follow your question, but rough idling can be down to many things ... what condition are the HT leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm et al in?

How is the fuel delivery? Blocked injector?

Alternatively, roughness experienced in the cabin can be down to a duff engine mount. Certainly on the S2 - not sure about the Lux.

Oli.

yes on the lux too Oli . My first lux suffered from this.
Could be the idle stop adjustment or the idle control valve.?

Unfortunately with the AFM you cannot adjust idle without affecting the mixture. This is because the idle adjustment involves using incoming airflow and bypassing it around the barn-door to exit behind the barn door to balance the barn-doors position at your intended idle setting. However because there is airflow bypassing the barn door it is not being metered, so if you increase the bypass airflow to achieve your idle you are leaning out your mixture and if you are throttling this bypass airflow you are richening (?) the mixture.

The correct procedure for idle adjustment involves making a jumper to disable the ISV, setting your idle via the adjustment screw on the throttle body then setting the mixture bia a probe up the tailpipe.
