Hi All

I'm putting together a ~45 mile route through Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire culminating in lunch at this pub

http://www.pubwithnoname.co.uk/

on 27th June.

The pub comes well recommended and has a large car park! We'll take in some good roads, good countryside and good views en route.

Meeting time is 0945 for a 1000 departure.

Meeting place is Manor Weald Service Station (Esso) in Milford (GU8 5EL)

I need to let the pub know how many we will be so if you'd like to come please post on this thread and let me know how many will be in your car.

Cheers

James

Tip: limit cars to under 12 and disassociate the drive from an official club drive (unless it is of course)

Yep. Well aware of that thanks, it's what I do for the WOTY.

If we get more than 12 cars I'll be flabbergasted to be honest.

I might be interested - assuming my 1 week old baby will let me get some night time sleep by then!

I have been given permission to go as long as I am back in Reading before 1pm (to take over baby duties) which is an hour away from the finishing point.

So depending how long it takes us to cover the 45 miles I might have to skip the lunch and head back home. What do you think, how fast is the route? What time are you targeting getting to the finishing point?

Cheers,

-Alex

The pace will, of course, be dictated by the prevailing speed limits.

I know most of the roads on the route but not all of them and I reckon the route could comfortably be done in 90 minutes non-stop (Multimap reckons 1 hour 45) but there will be a stop at a very fine view point en route which could use up 15 minutes easily.

The pub is expecting us between 12 and 12:30 because I factored in the inevitable late start and the stop part way round.

Hi James,

Pencil me in +1. All my focus on my first trip down to Le Mans at the moment. Would like to get far more involved with the club and R19 so will do my best to make it. All best.

Christian.

So...

At the moment we have:

1 - James M.
2 - Alex (not lunch)
3 - Marcus +1
4 - Christian +1
5 - Scotty
6 - Ken
7 - Craig

Any more for any more or anyone on the list who now can't make it please let me know.

I see it is Goodwood Brekkie that weekend (not the first weekend in July as is the norm) but arguably it looks like a good one to miss (sorry Ken). The one on 1st August is a definite though.

Cheers

I don't think I've seen the AX John. Is it purple? Problems with the 944?

I have been given until 2pm to get back now. So I could stay at the pub for a quick drink/sandwich...

I am also chasing to see if any of the other local 997 regulars can make it.

Sounds like fun and seeing as I've not had a natter with a lot of you for a while ........... please add me in too if there's space.

Also a good opportunity to see my new god daughter - courtesy of Craig!!!!

Regards,
Chris.

No problems with the 944. I have bought a nice Ax gti with 54,000 miles to replace the shed GT which has now been scrapped.
