RUST PREVENTER

Hi everyone

Noticed the other day a small chip at the bottom corner of the drivers door towards the front of the car near the bumper. Closely looking at it the paint has been chipped and it looks like it has gone down to the metal under the primer. I was just worried over the coming years whether rust could start at this point. Rather then waiting for it to start happening, does anyone know if you can buy some sort of rust preventer treatment to dab on it, then touch it up. Rather do this than have the whole door painted.

It's galvanised so you shouldn't need any inhibitor.

Thanks people for the replies, I thought it was galvanised just wanted to make sure. As it is I will leave it.

Just put some touch-up paint over the chip to keep out the weather.
I got stone chips and knocks on the door edge, just got paint pen kit from OPC for under a tenner.

Regards,

Chris.

Don't just leave it.

Even if galvanised it will eventually rust if left open to the elements. Touch it in with a fine artists brush and touch up pot and cover it up as soon as you can. Once it starts to rust its a much bigger problem £££££
