Rust Prevention

I know the 996 is galvanised, but as some cars are now coming up to 12+ years can we all be confident that rust is not a problem on these cars, or is some additional protection such as Waxoyl a good idea?

My hunch is that these cars a fairly rust free but wanted to check other people's experience/viewpoint [;)]

I was changing the brakes yesterday and had a good look under the wheel arches and under the car - not a trace of rust, even the fasteners were clean! Not bad for a 92,000 mile nearly 10 year old car.

My car is 10 and rust free but I sprayed Dinitrol about the suspension strut mountings, springs bases, all the brake and fuel hoses, jacking points and anywhere exposed. I figured I couldn't do any harm for what amounted to an hour's work.
