Rust protection for sills.

Ok, guys.

Now I'm nearing the end of my epic sill repairs, I don't want the whole lot rotting from inside in a couple of years.

What do experienced 944ers do to protect their nice new sills?

I sprayed waxoil into my sills through all drain holes, and at the same time, removed the vent that is on the door shut to spray. Also the front wheel arch liner undo the lower fixings and spray through there.
I did mine so that it dripped trough the drain holes and after a couple of days, make sure that these are unblocked.
I retreat mine every couple of years which maybe overkill but makes me happy. [:D]

I use Dinitrol ML 3125 which is a rust proofing spray wax.

As said above spray liberally into the sills via the back vent and lift the carpet to get access to the plugs that left out to let you spray in there until it comes out of the drain holes and after a couple of days the drips will stop. I do it every Winter.

As Martin I use the Dinitrol cavity wax which is a much better and more advanced product than Waxoyl, which is a bit old hat these days IMO. The Dinitrol penetrates in to seams really well and contains some zinc. The Bilt Hamber stuff is also supposed to be good.
