Following confirmation of my Driving God status on track [] (tongue firmly wedged in cheek[]), through which the car has performed superbly and endeared itself to me even more, I thought it timely to reward it by finally biting the bullet and getting the minor bubbling at the top of the windscreen under the rubber trim sorted. A mate with a bodyshop has taken it on (mate's rates[]) and I popped in today to see how it looked with the windscreen removed.
Thankfully, the corrosion wasn't too bad and after grinding it away, back to bare metal, it will be etch primed before being painted. He is painting the whole roof (bar the sunroof panel, as that was done when I had the sills/wings done - I know, I know...[8|]) and the side gutter trim pieces.
So that should be the last of any corrosion on my car, just a few stone chips on the front that I prefer to think of as a 'patina' or badge of honour ....[8|][]
Couple of pics:
Oh, in the absence of any on track pics, here is a mean & moody one of my car in the garage at Donnington the other day...[]
