Rusty break pipes

Hello all
Once again the dreaded mot is due, Every year when the car goes in, whether it was my 968 sport or at present the 993 targa, because I only do approx 3000 miles/year if the car sits in the garage after a run on wet roads I get a film of surface rust on the break pipes , which I belive is a failure. Short of getting under and cleaning them off each time I get back, what can I do to stop the mechanic failing the car!! Should I smear some sort of grease on them to prevent this problem long term.Anybody else get this problem, Comments appreciated
 
Surface rust should be no problem for the MOT; it should only fail if there is pitting to the pipe. I would advise you to just take it for the MOT and let them decide, it doesn't sound to be a problem.

Clean all the pipes off with a wire brush and then give them a good coating of waxoyl, then apply more waxoyl every couple of years.

it goes in on Monday to Porsche Bourmouth for service and mot . I'll clean off the breakpipes and cross my bits
