Thinking of replacing them with stainless steel bolts.
DesignTech do a set through Design911.com that are on-sale now. Does anyone have any experience of these. I want my car to look good but I am too old and boring for "Bling".

Centre lock wheels are a nightmare. Just got my car back after the recent recall.ORIGINAL: grover Get some centre lock wheels, perhaps the only practical advantage over the standard wheels that they offer................apart from looking great
I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation at the Porsche Centre. "So let me be clear, Sir. You wish to exchange 20 rusty bolts for 4 centre lock wheels - and hubs, of course? Will that be cash or card Sir............?"[] Stephen - there seem to be a number of stainless steel bolts on the market but quite honestly for what they cost I would just get a new set of OE bolts which should look ok for a couple of years. They are so recessed anyway it's not like they are on full show.ORIGINAL: grover Get some centre lock wheels
On my C4 I spray painted them all silver with a can from Halfords. Looks OE and lasted for years.ORIGINAL: garyw Quite common for the cars to have rusty wheel bolts... some have had them replaced under warranty - others including myself have not.[] My OPC did simply clean and spray them silver at no cost for me... still look good 12 months on.. garyw
Ive tried doing the above that the second you put them back on the car and tighten your back to where your were[] Try doing the following - no need to remove wheel nuts or bolts:- -Take a plastic bottle (ie a small coke bottle works fine) and cut the bottom off -Then carfully cut the top off until it just fits over the wheel bolt -Take a can of Silver paint and spray a minute amount of paint down through the bottom of the bottle. -Inspect - you may need another minute dusting - Good as new eh You will need to repeat this process every time you remove your wheel bolts/nuts - no one likes rusty nutsORIGINAL: Rodney Naghar On my C4 I spray painted them all silver with a can from Halfords.
