Rusty wings bodyshop pics

As most of you know my S2 has just had the rusty front wings repaired and a front end respray, its been a while getting pics posted as I wanted to wait till the paintshield was fitted. I must say their service is excellent and I'm very happy with the result. Dav Mac at Daytona Coachworx has done a great job too and comes highly recommended.

I'm really happy with the finish and the car is now pretty much how I'd like it to be, well almost!

The paintshield has a seam above the indicator lens.

looking good! my only small negative is the chip guard slightly overlapping the paint shield in the 1st pic. Bottom ofhte chip guard looks to be cut at an odd angle. Sorry to nitpick, other than that the car looks great :)

Yes your right, its a original porsche part so perhaps the way it is fitted?, TBO I can only notice it in that photo, on the car I dont even see that low down...

You must be joking that looks cracking.

That's a lovely job, it looks the bee's. Oddly enough , I had mine done recently and the chip guard in exactly the same place doesn't line up either. Being over 6ft, I don't see it either unless I really want to wind myself up! I keep meaning to see if I can line it up better, maybe save it for a warm day when the ground is nice and dry!

Very nice job! Car looks like new. I would, if I were you spray some waxoyl type rustproofing underbody wax to protect the bottom of the wings now they are repaired.

Lovely jubley paint job. Lots of depth and not a swirl in sight, Get some quality Carnubba Wax on that asap. Swisswax Best Of Show would be my choice - of maybe the Dodo Juice wax.

Yeah Dave certainly knows his stuff, the paintwork was rubbed down, machine polished and waxed before being returned to me[;)] . The front PU, badge panel and headlight covers are protected with Paintshield, the wings and bonnet are not (can you notice the seem?). My current wax is Victoria Concours which is great VFM if you ask me, BOS would be nice but I cant justify the £100+ price tag ATM, especially after how much I just spent on the paintjob[:)]

Already done.

Glad to hear it! By the way, the wax protection should be re-applied every few years as it washes off eventually.
